Shine Light On
Ancient castles
Stoned thought
Scrapers of skies

Shine Light On
Old business’s Business
Man’s modern fury
Glassed, counted, claimed

Shine Light On
Closed cell solitary places
People under state lock key
lonely desks
Where poets wonder

Shine Light On
Hell’s rooms
Dank with modern slaves’
Teary children, born,
witnesses
Women bare their heavy burden
Womb entrapment

Shine Light On
Money moving guns, moving,
people moving faceless land
Shapeless water
freedom’s light
freedom’s Shining

Shine Light On
Soon upgraded
Blinking marvels
Draining battery strength
Awaiting signal from
Dotted skies

Light that moves
Consciousness
Rapidly through bodies
Twitching blinking
Once was energy
only stars possessed

Shine Light On
Windows of commerce
Icons of age
Free your self-soul cycle
Seduced eyes
Registered
Remembered
like childhood
Forever

Shine Light On
Broken lovers hearts
Fiery family feuds
Friends divided
National debt
Fluctuating GDP, GNP
Awaiting a knight in gilded armor

Shine Light On
Raw material
Comic bankers of foreign lands
Crafting deeds
Like barrels are crafted for
Cartoon waterfalls
Sent breaking

Shine Light On
The old and dying
Dropped spoons of tapioca
Strange dazzling fruity cups
Positioned plastic trays
Static
Fluorescent

Ears still grow in graves
Where no light shines
Warmth
Reaches
Impossible depths

Ushering us
Into our forgotten
decay

The always moon
Tilted

Pulling light closer
Holding attention
Staving off
darkness tides

Momentary thought
Every direction
Nothing hides

Light shines
Shines Light on
