The Triumph

A Poem

The severity of this sentence
chalked now along the lines
that I had swallowed earlier
Pushed up against a victory
but it’s too soon to tell whose it was
This gate has been crumbling
knows that the sequence of pressure
the drag of daylight & consequences
doesn’t close it doesn’t open it
But here there is struggle & some
bids for peace
in a rush like water leaving your hands
Indemnified by no one & nothing
the irresolution…
