The wave does not question when it is raised.

In the end, there is none,
Just me and you and me again.
Just me, again.
You become ‘they’
and ‘u’ walk away from ‘us’
An ominous hiss sounds under the tree you vowed to be
the sun shines all through the leaves.

This isn’t a letter to anybody,
I am just nibbling on the corners of my journal
I vowed,
I stayed,
I left,
I forgot,
We vow,
We stay,
We leave,
We forget.

And waves will curl back into the water.
