Tidal Waves

Life is difficult.

There are times when it feels overwhelming,

Days when our hearts feel broken,

Nights when we can’t fall asleep,

perhaps due to love,

but then there are moments;

when the sun shines on our faces,

and our chests heave with laughter,

days when the tears rolling down our cheeks

are full of joy.

‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Both the good and the bad;

the happy and the sad;

like waves in an ocean.

Depending on how we’re feeling,

it can look beautifully inviting,

or dreadfully terrifying.

The beauty is that no matter what happens;

our emotions are not set in stone.

It’s free like the ocean,

full of depth and wonder;

and only those who are brave enough to dive deep

will ever understand what we truly have to offer.

The tidal waves are continuously changing;

and that is what makes life worth living;

for if it was always the same,

what would you ever have to be thankful for?
