to spring.

To the birth of Spring,
the mirth and the mild
essence of the earth
that flavors the wild.
To each of the petals,
the sepal of each blossom
to the subtle, rejuvenating
life, fresh from Gaea’s bosom.
To ‘very serpents and their all
prey, prancing away from their pall,
to the bright Pythias’ patronage
guarding their mini-lives.
To each drop of that fluid,
its vitality the very life envies,
to the nymphs, those satyrs and druids,
the silvern ambrosia they preach.
