While you sleep

If I stay here,
Feast on you while you sleep,
Wrinkles winking and wise,
Wanton curls teasing me,
Ragged scar screaming out pains
I did not soothe,
From that mythical time
before us.
If I stay here,
Will our memories meld,
Tentacular,
Drawing us in,
Deeper, deeper.
If I stay here,
Quietly, carefully,
Will your beautiful face become my mirror,
Ravenous fears unreflected,
My weary-full heart
peaceful at last.
