Words Are Enough
Celebrating the simple
Here are some words I love:
Heft
Graceful
Smeared
Aura
Muscular
Nimble
Purr
Jostle
Flint
Poignant
Raw
Neutron stars
In four letters
Dense with
Beauty and meaning
I find excuses
To roll my tongue
Around their contours
Songs, poems, blogs
But why the camouflage
Why dissemble
Let’s celebrate their panache
Without tacky embellishment
For once,
Let them serve us
Alone,
Read ‘em and weep
Or sigh, or smile
We can join the dots
Colour-in
Fashion our personal backdrop
Do the hard work
For once
Take a moment
One moment
To celebrate a word
You adore
