Would I have a friend!
Who is only mine…..
Who make me laugh if I cry.
Be with me in all my sorrows.
Be with me in all my joys.
Be able to know me without having asked.
Feel my pain without hearing my groans.
Who knows the pain withheld behind my laughter.
Before I fall take my hand and help me up.
Yes, a friend would I have!
Who in the mazes of life.
Be my guide.
Who in the crowd of the world.
Never leave me alone.
Who become my light in the dark.
Yes, a friend I would have!
With whom I forget all sorrow.
With whom I walk like my own shadow.
A friend would have I!
Who is afraid of losing me.
Who is afraid of missing me.
When I am not with…..
Who can never be angry with me.
Yes, a friend like that would have I !
