The two little girls believed in fairies.
They imagined seeing them in the garden,
The imagined seeing them on the flowers.
The two young cousins saw flying fairies everywhere,
On the leaves, in the trees, and in the air.
Everything is possible in a child’s imagination.
The world is filled with fantasy creatures.
Anything is possible in a creative mind,
Children see goblins and fairies of every kind.
The two cousins, Elsie and Frances photographed,
Those dainty fairies flying on wings,
With gnomes and other magical things.
Using the magic of clever photography,
The cousins fooled the world with the illusion,
Making the world believe in fairies was a delusion.
Thanks to their vivid and creative imagination,
The Cottingley fairies came to life,
Puzzling the experts far and wide,
As they watched fairies swim and glide.
Decades later, it was discovered that it was a hoax,
The fairies were just pictures cut-out,
Made to move like angels in the breeze,
Through the grass and the green leaves.
It was all just a childish playful joke.
In the mind of a playful child,
Nature and its mysteries come alive.
Let your imagination go free and wild,
Experience the world of a creative child.
