Autumn’s Ambrosia
NATURE
September pulled itself out
From sultry August’s brine
A flicker of wing, a peel of bark
Leaves renounce pink of hearts
of birch, oak and lofty chinars.
O autumn! your light unveils
gold’s tarnished hues and tints
pigments plump, passions drying.
immerse in autumn’s ambrosia
reflections, shadows, highlights.

Autumn is arriving with the September equinox in my country Bharat situated in the northern hemisphere. Though not very prominent colour changes in foliage are observed in tropical countries, fall always mesmerises me.
