This invisible dance we do
as slow, poised whirling dervishes
riding between spells of life and death
chancing upon an equinox love
Our days and nights colliding
in forgotten, forgiven dreams
Spinning love, spilling grace
from the luminous shadows
of passing worlds in a belly
This scraping pearls of revellings
within drying pools of self
Whirling, pausing, whirling
expunging grief and glee
liberating our enslaved souls and bodies
that meet on totem wedding rings.
