Furious, she threw her bag on the floor after reaching home.

Never in her wildest dreams she thought this would happen to her.

All the promises he made was a blatant lie. He defied her instructions and went his way.

"Such act is unpardonable," she thought.

She was hurt. She was angry at herself for believing him. She checked herself in the mirror. Devastated, tears started rolling down her cheeks and she cried herself to sleep. Her parents, used to her tantrums by now, let her skip dinner for that day.

She woke up with a puffy face the next day. She was determined to miss school that day. But she also didn't want to face the wrath of her father. She got up from her bed sluggishly. Already very late, she finished her morning ablutions quite quickly, grabbed a piece of bread from the table, gobbled it, waved her mother a very quick bye and reluctantly paddled her bicycle. On her way, her mind started playing situations of how her classmates would react seeing her.

On reaching school, she dragged herself to class. The moment she stepped in, her best friend shrieked,

"What!!!! B-O-W-L-C-U-T"

And the whole class burst out laughing.
