Electricity — more than a commodity — green energy is a necessity for survival!

Electricity is of utmost importance for our life. If we have a look at “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” I would even say, nowadays it is part of the very basic i.e physiological needs such as food, water, warmth and rest. Today, in 2018 about 58% percent of the world population (7.6 billion ppl.) lives in cities.

Do we inner-city residents even know how to survive without electricity? I highly doubt it!

Electricity has become the air and food supply of our modern life. If we don’t want to “die”, because of exponential population growth and a polluted ecosystem, we need to act now! We have to radically change the way we produce, consume and distribute energy. In this digital age, with one tech revolution chasing the other (blockchain, IoT, AI, machine learning etc.), we have the chance and the necessity to change, as we are even more dependent to have constant access to reliable energy sources.

We need sustainability. The only solution are renewable green energy sources, such as wind, solar, biomass etc., otherwise we end up like this very eye opening video by David Suzuki demonstrates. “One Minute to Total Collapse”
