We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast series, Trial by Data.

Trial by Data explores the data-driven technologies and strategies shaping the future of clinical trials. We cover the most pressing issues and questions facing researchers and clinicians today, in an ever-changing landscape.

Our first two episodes are with leading gastroenterologist, Dr. David Rubin, of the University of Chicago and Joe Kim, Senior Advisor in Clinical Development Innovation at Eli Lilly.

Our goal is intelligent and curiosity-driven conversation, over anything else.

This podcast was born out of a need for the space to candidly discuss the opportunities and the challenges of data-driven approaches in healthcare and clinical trials. There remains a divide between clinical care and research, and these conversations can shine light on ways to bridge these two worlds.

Over the past few years, we have attended countless events on how to implement emerging technology into clinical trials effectively. What we’ve found is that a lot of the challenge comes down to taking better care of the data — capturing it, normalizing it, and harnessing it in a way that doesn’t require an army of data scientists.

While we cover innovation of all kinds, we have a specific focus on the devices that are creating new kinds of real world data for clinical care and clinical trials, and the process by which we incorporate those data to more efficiently develop new drugs and devices. We cover topics such as patient engagement, wearables and other sensors, remote clinical trials, cross-industry collaboration, and machine learning and other types of A.I.

In order to bring you, our listeners, the best conversation possible, we have curated a line up of guests that span these subjects and more.

From the Patient Experience and Design Innovation lead at Eli Lilly, to the GM of Oracle’s Health Science unit, to the CEO of distributed remote trials platform Science 37, the insights you’ll glean from each conversation are both unique and candidly delivered.

We are enormously grateful to each of our participants and look forward to hearing from you as well.

If you’re interested in being a participant on the podcast, please reach out to us here. We hope to spark conversations outside of the walls of our studio and among the individuals and organizations that are leading this charge.

We hope you join us as we explore the clinical trials of the future in Trial by Data! Thanks as always for listening.
