Goa Gobbles- Miguel’s

SPACIAL EXPERIENCE
Pictures:
Miguel’s is the perfect size for me and my parents. It is cosy and comfortable with a really relaxed vibe. The lamps were unusual and I loved the seating and the tables. What I really liked were the broken mirrors on the wall, which I thought was cool.
A really close family friend, Ayaz Basrai, designed the place- The lamp designs are unique and the patterns on them made the light really pretty, especially at night. I liked the chairs and the bar area with the wine installation so much!
FOOD

The food was really good and had a lot of flavour and spice. I’ll list my recommendations below;
Drinks
For kids, I would recommend the Chá Gelado Lemongrass. It’s a mix of lemongrass and slightly tangy taste. It was not sweet but strangely it was amazing. (Since I usually drink over-sugary drinks 😅)
RECOMMENDATIONS: Food
The most amazing starter was the Cavalinha- it was so different from anything I’ve ever tasted before. It had pickled fish, celery caviar, frozen cucumber & gin gel. It was spicy and mouth-watering, and totally and superly deeeeeelicious.
For people who prefer dishes which do not have raw fish, I would recommend the Chouriço e batata, which is spicy and perfectly cooked & one of the best chorizos I’ve ever tasted. (Not that I’ve tasted many…)
My favourite main dish of all them I had, was the Mushroom Risotto. It was cheesy, soft and flavourful. There were so many types of mushrooms, which I have never seen before.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Dessert
The desserts were so good! I had Miguel’s Serradura, which had dulce de leche (which is a kind of condensed milk) white chocolate and rice pudding. It was amazing.
Serradura is kind of the traditional Goan dessert- and this was the first I’ve had! Since then I’ve had many other versions but the Miguels Serradura is still the best.
In conclusion, I loved my visit to Miguel’s, and will definitely go there again.
