How I Earned Money Within 3 Weeks on Medium — Can You Guess How Much?
I’m going to build this revelation a little, so bear with me…!
I began consistently writing on Medium just over 3 weeks now & I’ve well & truly caught the bug…
I have loved connecting with others, some names becoming more familiar each day, and I have begun to notice those who frequently engage with my work & it is the best feeling!
It has felt like a whirlwind — I wrote just over a week ago about getting to 100 followers (see below) & getting onto the elusive partnership programme. That same day I did it & my obsession has kind of increased…
I’ve allowed myself the space to feel this energy, but now it is time to get back to reality, continue writing as frequently as I am, and stop being so fixated on followers or story engagement.
I wrote one story this past week that didn't reach very well & I felt it in my body. Those familiar feelings that are signs of rejection, of not being good enough.
Then I had a word with myself & reminded myself that I have come so far, I have learned as I have written on here & I have done brilliantly already so enough looking down — actually recognise what you have achieved already! A month ago I would never have thought I would be doing this with such confidence!
Since achieving 100 followers I have watched it rise to almost 200 in a week & each new follow still feels like a gift!
How did I get to almost 200 in 3 weeks?
I read, I engaged, I commented if I read their story. I am authentically being me within my writing & I am not seeking like for like followers because I want it to be real & genuine & be connected to those who choose to hear my thoughts.
I’m not saying it’s wrong to do it the other way, but for me, I need that engagement, to feel like I am being genuinely heard. I want to enjoy reading the work of others & giving them that similar feeling — if I appreciate their writing then I am so excited to share that with them!
My way may be the slower way, but it’s a way that works for me & keeps me focused on why I wanted to begin this — to practice my writing skills, to share my own knowledge & experience if it can help another & to connect with the amazing array of writers here.
Now to reveal my earning is May 🥁….

In £ sterling that’s about 0.5p -How cool is that?!
Onwards to next month which is currently sitting at just over $2 which is around £1.90 -can you imagine what my excitement will be by the end of the month?!
