A digital platform at the heart of Social and Positive Entrepreneurship
The 29th of November, to close the first part of their training and kick off the three last months, Live for Good held their Social Innovation Day to gather around them all their community. Founded by Jean-Philippe Courtois and his family, this an organisation dedicated to unleash the capability of young people coming from all backgrounds thanks to social entrepreneurship and to accelerate positive innovation at the very heart of an invested community.
During Live for Good’s Social Innovation Day, more than 300 persons gathered at the heart of Paris. They discussed positive entrepreneurship with different actors of the community including Cyrielle Hariel (author of “Faire battre le coeur du monde”) and the organisation Coexister (which promotes the diversity of everyone and leverages it to better live together). It was also a great opportunity for the community to discover 44 positive projects and the persons behind them.
The organisation also released their new corporate identity and demonstrated the collaborative platform they offer to the 44 entrepreneurs they follow daily since August 2019. Convinced of the power of digital innovation, Live for Good has spent two years internally developing its platform thanks to the open source framework Vulcan.js. The platform main goals are to answer three needs of every entrepreneur today:
- Be part of and exchange in an engaged community
- Reveal all the potential of their ideas and projects
- Learn and develop their skills to surpass themselves
Live for Good has regrouped in one platform two open-source software, three homemade one’s and two premium features. For example, to increase exchanges among the community, Rocket Chat, which is a collaborative communication platform, was implemented as it offers a free and unlimited replacement for emails, HipChat & Slack.
As the community grows, it was important to make sure that everyone could know each other. Thus, one of the in-house developed software that the platform offers is a directory. Thanks to Vulcan.js, it uses a modular and automatic generation approach.
Democratizing and gathering different tools for its community, the Live for Good’s platform is key to successfully answer the needs of positive entrepreneurs.
Thanks to this platform, Live for Good is going to remotely supports their 44 entrepreneurs until March 2020, when 5 of them will be awarded the Gabriel prize. To get more information on Live for Good and our events, follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook.
