Confessions of an ENFP
“Can’t I fly helicopters AND be an oceanographer who writes songs and cooks?”
Apparently, we make up 7% of the population. That’s right — 7%.
Thanks to 16personalities.com, I realize that somewhere out in the world, there are people just like me. And some of them are right here on Medium.
ENFPs have a reputation for being social, free-spirited, and infectiously enthusiastic. We have more passions in a day than an average person has in their lifetime. We’re cheerful, we’re supportive, and we pursue meaningful friendships as a way to experience another angle of the universe.
We do, however, have our fair share of problems too. In fact, I’m hyper-sensitive to emotions, I have difficulty making decisions, and yes — I run away with ideas.
Confession #1: I’m not always practical.
As an ENFP, I’m easily persuaded by ideas… even if they aren’t the most practical. I see the potential in anything and everything and if you tell me an idea, I’ll most likely run with it.
