First, I can’t say ENOUGH great things about Boddle learning. And second, just know that this is a 100% FREE website that will enhance student learning while giving you a load of data to drive instruction.

Boddle Learning has math and ELA curriculum for k-6th grade, and it’s *possibly* expanding to other subjects. I currently don’t have any information on the matter, but I’m hoping that if I manifest it enough, we’ll see a science curriculum in the next couple of years!! The current curriculum is standards based, depending on what state you live and teach in. They have common core standards as well, making this a perfect universal resource!

1. Boddle is accessible.

When students receive a question on Boddle, they can choose to have it read aloud to them or watch a video tutorial on how to answer it. This allows for our students who struggle with reading to participate fully. As a special education teacher, I love this feature!

2. Boddle is real-time data.

In the side panel, the “live feed” option gives you, the teacher, the opportunity to see what each student is working on- down to what question they answer. You can see all 4 answer choices, and which one they selected. Also, in the “reports” tab, you can look at the skills and see where your students are falling in each one.

Boddle gives teachers the opportunity to select which student and timeframe to see, so that the data is current and accurate. The easy-to-use charts allow students to see if they’ve made progress in specific areas of the curriculum. You can also see a general overview of your class and their abilities.

3. Boddle is reinforcing concepts through differentiation.

I don’t know about your students, but mine are TIRED of worksheets. Thankfully, with Boddle, I can to into the “assignments” tab and assign standards-based topics to practice to my students. The coolest feature that Boddle has to offer is that you don’t have to send the exact same assignments to all of your students. You can select WHICH students will receive each assignment. For example, I have been teaching odd and even numbers. Some students can look at a number, such as 13, and know that it is odd. Other students need to see objects and count them out to tell if a number is odd or even. With Boddle, you can assign the same topic, but delivered in different methods of instruction to students who need it.

4. Boddle is Engaging for students!

Boddle has mini-games that students can play against each other while answering questions simultaneously. My students LOVE competing against one another in the games. They also earn coins which can give their characters new outfits, or they can buy items for their houses. Every couple of questions that they answer correctly, they also get to spin a wheel of prizes. I love the consistent reward system.

5. Boddle is LESS prep work.

There’s always a 1 in 3 chance that our printer at school is broken. Boddle being totally electronic is AMAZING! Hardly any prep work, and big results. It can’t get better than that.
