A Mindset To Approach Your Life With Taught By My Microwave
How to see the good in everything.
It’s 7 am. I stumble out of bed and head straight to my kettle to boil some water for my tea. I simultaneously pour a little milk into a mini jug, which I then take over to my microwave to warm to later add to my hot tea.
Twenty seconds later I hear the beep-beep-beep. It’s time to take out the warmed milk while I wait to pour the hot water from the kettle over my teabag. I look at the digital display of the microwave and it says Good.
I think to myself. Good.
There are times I put in food, which gets overheated and splatters everywhere. Or liquid, which boils over. The microwave will still always say…you guessed it, good.
I’ve yet to see a time when it says bad.
So what can we learn from this?
No matter what life does to us, no matter what the outcome — whether we get fried, stay lukewarm, get smothered into pieces (all figuratively of course), we just have to remember it’s good. Everything that happens to us is happening for a reason.
An obstacle may be setting you up for a future battle.
A failure may be building you with the grit to live your fullest potential.
A roadblock may be preventing you from walking down the wrong path.
Everything is always good.
By learning to see the good in everything you’ll never feel let down or upset.
Whenever you wonder what the outcome of something will be, just remember it will be good.
Often times our life is at it’s best not when anything drastic changes. It is simply when our mindset changes.
It is when we learn to see the glass half full. So if there is a simple reminder you need when you start your day, just walk over to the microwave and see the good.
