I think it goes without saying that the world is going through a crazy (and scary) time right now. And while quarantines and social distancing have a very important place in hopefully ridding the world of this virus, it still isn’t an easy thing for anyone to do.

While having our normal routines stripped away from us is difficult and frustrating, my heart really goes out to the parents who have to try and work from home (if possible) and now home school.

My heart also goes out to those in our communities who are on the opposite end of the spectrum, the elderly. Most, if not all, senior living facilities have closed their doors to visitors, meaning that the residents of these facilities not only have to deal with the fear of getting sick but now they are unable to spend time with their family and friends, people they may feel that they need now more than ever.

Though technology is proving to be a great asset to society during this time, I’m sure many people would agree that it just isn’t a proper substitute for socializing. We miss our routines, we miss our outings, and we miss our interactions.
