Change Your Idea About Fear
Where there is Fear, there is Growth!
When was the last time you felt soul-shivering fear?
Have you ever let fear control you? Do you think that would be right?
Has fear made you do things you are not proud of or maybe too proud of?
Do you even fear anything?
Have you ever felt fear in your life?
What has that done to you or for you?
Have you used fear for your own benefit? Used it as a tunnel to reach the other side?
Do you think you need fear in your life?
Or, do you think you are fearless and you don’t need fear in your life? At all.
Disclaimer: If you don’t have a life, then no point of you fearing anything. Where would you fit it? People from this category can stop already.
Life is unpredictable. We all agree. We plan Plan A and we anticipate Result A. Does that happen always? No.
We execute Plan L and we get Result U (that is, Result Unexpected). *pun intended
The thing about planning one thing, executing some other thing, expecting a particular result, and then getting a whole new result out of it, is this — there is uncertainty and where there is uncertainty, there is fear.
Fear of a wrong plan.
Fear of a mistake during execution.
Fear of failing in the end.
We all know this, right? What is a nincompoop like me then getting at? “What’s the point dummy?”
The point is fear.
The point is that we run away from fear.
The point is that sometimes we don’t even acknowledge fear.
The point is your delusional asses thinking you are fearless.
The point is thinking fear is a negative feeling.
The point is fearing that you will fear fear and this fear of fear paralyzing you to face fear. (don’t call me a dummy)
I think you get the point now.
Fear is NOT negative
Why do you fear something? (apart from ghosts and tall buildings, and death)
Why do you fear speaking in front of a large audience?
Why do you fear talking to a cute and cuddly girl?
Why do you shit your pants when you want to ask for a raise?
Why do you fear facing the bully's?
As I said, apart from you getting murdered, and even your murder. No, wait. We will take your murder into consideration. Why do you fear getting murdered? Why do you fear death?
Is it because you don’t want your killer to be hanged till death? Or because you don’t know what to do with death?
Or maybe it is because you love your life? (maybe this one)
Fear is not negative. Fear means you care. The degree of your fear determines how much you care. If you die of fear, well, your bad luck, you cared too much that you cannot care now.
Fear means growth
As we have established the fact that fear means something worthy is at stake. So, what if you surpass the fear and reach the other side. Then, you are at the side, where you always wanted to be.
That means, you have pierced through the thick membrane of fear and made it to what you always wanted.
Thus, we can say that you have grown. That you are a little more experienced than you were a few moments ago. That you can now do that shit again and again and as you repeatedly do it, you will get better at it.
In nutshell, what you feared made you better. We can say the following:
Where there is fear, there is growth.
In the end…
Fear is just a sign, with that scary skull on it, and red in color. It says, go further on your own risk. Most of us get scared because we don’t know where will this road lead to. Because we fear the unknown. Because we fear what we don’t understand. So, we take a U-turn and look for another way.
But, some of us will not take no for an answer. Even if the sign says, “You will probably die. It is impossible.” they will still go further and do it anyway.
We have abused and hated fear for so long. I would say fear is beautiful. If you ask me, I am still afraid to do a lot of things but at the same time I know that if I do them, I will grow.
Love fear. Embrace fear.
Fear is good.
