Koalas don’t have an Instagram

In one of his speeches, Simon Sinek spoke about one interesting thing he noticed. There are a lot of people who on Father’s Day post a picture with their father. But here is the trick, your father probably doesn’t have an Instagram account. So what for? So other people will know that you love your father? They already know it. If you wouldn’t post a picture of your father, nobody would assume that you don’t love your father.

The same applies to many things.

We post about starving kids, forest fires, mistreated animals and all other such things. But what for? Does it help the cause?

Will your posting about wildfires make them subside?

Will your posting about starving kids make them less hungry.

I am not saying that it’s a bad thing. I am merely pointing out that there are other ways to show that you care.

I guess you can do more than just posting.

P.S. As for now, koalas are deeply moved and grateful for all social media posts about forest fires in Australia. Those are really making a difference for them (C`mon, we can make it better. Even if you can`t help koalas, do some eco-positive thing at home, it still counts).
