That’s a good one, isn’t it… And it’s NOT even part of the six I am about to share with you.

Language is the tool that allows the mind to know what it’s thinking and prevail over instinct (in most cases).

It allows us to create a virtual world in our heads, and pull the present forward to meet that.

The world is made of language, and what lies at the heart of every living thing is not fire, not warm breath, not a spark of life. “It is information, words, and instructions’.

But is this reality or is it mere poetry?

Well…

When things get tough, many people turn to a motivational quote for a bit of inspiration. And even though in its most profound nature, a quote is just a stack of words that we give meaning to — humans for the past 200,000 years, have been able to persuade, seduce and influence each other through the power of language.

If you know me, or you know anything about me — you’d presumably be aware of my devoted love to feel-good inspirational quotes.

Quotes are a language that is incredibly motivating and often full of wisdom. When smart people talk, it’s always smart to listen. However, quotes without context provide no action — and at times can be paralyzing for those with a confused mind.

The creation of language was the first singularity for humans. It changed everything. Life after language was unimaginable to those on the far side before it.

Think about it this way — ‘trying to explain the nuances of a Shakespearian sonnet to an ape is simply unimaginable’. This is what makes us human.
