Writing about my journey through chronic pain and illness was one of the most cathartic and challenging things I have ever done. The journey included several orthopedic surgeries of the spine that failed.

I cannot describe the pain. The immediate surgical pain from having bones removed, shaved, screwed into, etc. Then the long-term pain as those bones didn’t fuse and continued to grate against nerves as well as deep bone pain that is unlike any other kind.
