To Leave Your Comfort Zone, Be Around People Who Are Doing Better Than You Are
Find a bigger pond
Sometimes after I close a big client, I get comfortable and become lazy. This laziness can last days or weeks, and it goes on until something makes me snap out of it.
When I see what other people around me are achieving and see that what I just got is not really a big deal, I come back to my senses and start grinding again.
This has happened to me countless times. The cycle is big contract-relax-hear what someone else is doing-get inspired again.
I don’t know how many times this has happened but trust me when I say it happens a lot.
That’s why I believe that staying around people who are on the same grind as you are and are achieving big things is important because when you hear what they’ve achieved, you’ll get motivated to do more.
And that motivation would actually drive you to do more.
On the other hand, if you’re always hanging around people beneath you, you’ll stay longer in your comfort zone, which is very dangerous.
Because how do you expect to level up when the people around you are beneath you. You’ll remain the big fish in the small pond. You’ll get comfortable with the clout you get from them and remain a shadow of who you should be.
So, one question. Who are you hanging out with?
