Something has poked me a little when I realized that I had an issue in my life. I was actually an HSP. Yes, I am, The Highly Sensitive Person. Little did I know that I have been living in this world, for 22 years, as an HSP.

I had never known about HSP but a year ago as I’ve been always thinking that this kind of thing — the feeling of being too much or too sensitive — was only happened with me, thus I felt like I was the worst among of all. And I’ve just found out that shyness or social anxiety, mostly due to the intensity of large gatherings, can be a problem to the HSPs like me. And it surely is.

I always felt uncomfortable every time I had to meet a lot of people, such as in family gathering, or any kind of crowded place. Particularly on occasion which I had no desire to be part of it, like when we went to somewhere without any clear purpose, where the result only has given me the guilt of the wasted time and energy. That’s why my Mom had always mad at me because I tend to avoid such events and prefer to stay at home.
