Why You Don’t Understand Yourself

And why psychotherapy, not self-help, may be the answer

For as long as I can remember, I was interested in figuring myself out. I asked questions like, ‘Who am I?’, or, ‘What is my calling?’, trying to figure out what I should be doing with my future. And for as long as I can remember, the answer eluded me, like trying to catch a fish with your bare hands.
