Optimism Network Sees 67% Surge in Daily Transactions After Bedrock Upgrade

Nansen, a data analytics company, has revealed that the implementation of Optimism’s Bedrock upgrade on June 6 has resulted in a substantial surge in daily transactions on the network. The upgrade has witnessed an impressive 67% increase, bringing the daily transaction count to around 500,000. Additionally, the Bedrock upgrade has positively impacted gas fees, reducing them by approximately 50% to about $50,000. These advancements highlight the improved scalability and cost-efficiency of the Optimism network following the upgrade.

Optimism, developed by the Optimism Foundation, serves as a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, utilizing optimistic rollups to enhance transaction throughput and decrease gas fees.
