Personalize your content: Online learning environments are sometimes cumbersome and can lack tools that represent the individuality of its users. Try using an animated gif in place of a static background image as a great way to visually interact with learners when you aren’t beaming video. Be creative as the background is the first impression visitors will have of your space.

Screenshare is your friend: Pre-recorded content makes a great supplement to live video. You could show slides, internet video, or demo an exam to connect with learners in ways that go beyond lectures.
