Technical Blueprint For The Livepeer Ecosystem — 2023 Update
The goal for Livepeer is for it to be the backbone of video over the internet. It’s been two years since we last revisited the project’s technical roadmap, so now is a good time to take stock of all that has happened and all that’s in store.
Two years ago the focus was on driving demand, expanding core technology, and achieving decentralization. This period has seen tremendous progress through products like Livepeer Studio as well as the Confluence upgrade, which migrated Livepeer to L2, onchain decentralized protocol governance, and the Delta upgrade, which introduced a community-governed onchain treasury.
Now, as Livepeer matures, three key themes are driving the ecosystem’s progress going forward.
