Knowsley residents protesting the sale of 17 parks and green spaces have planned a family march for the 22nd April.

The march will start at 9.30am, and there will be three starting points at Browns Field in Prescot, and Court Hey Park & Alt Park, both of which are in Huyton

Protesters will make their way to Kowsley Council Offices on Archway Road, Huyton.

Prescot residents, mother and daughter, Mandy and Rachael Roberts, planned the event, and are both active members of the ‘Save Brown’s Field Park’ campaign.

The official Facebook page for the event says: “This is a show of solidarity by the whole community to show that Knowsley residents are against the sale of our parks.

“We welcome families, dog walkers, etc, to walk and let the council know how we are against this disastrous decision — once these parks are gone they are gone forever.”

For more information, check the event’s official Facebook page here, or join the Brown’s Field protest group here.
