August is the month of the Lion’s Gate Portal. Associated with ancient Egypt, Star Sirius aligns with the Earth, sun and Orion’s Belt, sending spiritual light to the planet. It’s also a time associated with the brave and proud Leo sign. With Leo’s courage and the power of the Lion’s Gate Portal, August is a perfect time for setting intentions for manifestation.

As someone who enjoys astrology and tarot cards for personal insight and development, I thought I’d do a reading for the collective during August.

Light Seer: Death/Rebirth (Upright)

I asked the tarot: Where is the opportunity for light this month?

The Death card is a time for endings, but also new beginnings. It’s a time for shedding old energies, ideas and versions of ourselves. The death card in this deck is linked with rebirth, which is very true of this card. As ominous as it sounds, the Death card is a positive sign of rebirth. This August will give you the opportunity to release the past and do any grieving if needed. A cycle in your personal or work life is ending so that a new one can begin.
