Letting Go of Ghosts Past

Releasing old stories to create new ones

When the autumn arrives, it’s not just the creeping chill we must keep at bay, but the past ghosts that haunt. We all have regrets and hurts. People and situations that wounded us. Some of these wounds heal, while others stay open.

This has been a year of endings. Endings might have been a more appropriate word as a theme for my year than trust. For much of the past year, I felt haunted by these endings. I’m slowly moving towards acceptance and seeing that maybe I’m being nudged to trust in these endings so that new beginnings can open up.

And what better time to shed old stories than autumn? Here are the lessons I’ve learned that have been helping me to release the past and how they might help you if you’re in a similar situation.

Honour Lessons Learned

It all began when a friendship with someone I had known since childhood ended. But you were friends for so long, some might say.
