During my first years in the faith, I was not living like a Christian. It wasn’t until a bricklayer began meeting with me regularly, encouraging me and teaching me how to study the Bible and pray, did I become transformed.

I meet with people who struggle and are facing crises, and yet when I ask them to describe their personal time in the Scriptures, they often confess that it’s not a habit in their life. And then I hear them say something that both breaks my heart but also encourages me –

I don’t know how to study. I just don’t understand the Bible.

People have the desire to hear from God and know His Word, but often don’t know how to begin. They need tools and resources to help them learn, and they need a guide to show them the ropes.

They need discipleship from a mentor.

DAILY DISCIPLESHIP IMPACT

Just two years ago, amid the pandemic shutdown, we launched Daily Discipleship to deliver teaching to people in the way they needed it most. It’s been my honor and privilege to walk through entire chapters of the Bible with people virtually as their mentor. I’ve been humbled to teach them how to study God’s Word for themselves, hear His voice, and live out their faith. The Daily Discipleship impact has been incredible.

Did you know that more than 150,000 people have participated in Daily Discipleship? But I’m even more excited by their personal responses to God! The comments below represent just a snapshot of the responses we’ve gotten from our discipleship challenges.

The feedback we received included stories of people experiencing spiritual renewal, addressing sin in their lives, rebuilding their marriages, and rekindling broken relationships with their children. Some are reaching out to neighbors and becoming Difference Makers in their community. And we’re just two years in!

With a world that seems to be increasingly confused about biblical truth, we know there’s more work to be done — many more people to disciple and encourage as they grow deeper in the faith. But we have hope.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

God has opened doors and we know He will continue to show us ways to impact and disciple more individuals.

FUELING MORE DISCIPLESHIP

The world is changing rapidly and we need to continue innovating to develop engaging, relevant discipleship opportunities.

Individuals have access to our resources through radio, books, podcasts, satellite, and by translation. And yet, to disciple more believers all around the world, we need additional staff and technology to make it happen.
