Believe in yourself

Sometimes we think we are not as good as we really are. Maybe humility plays a part so we don’t want to try for the things we should. We might feel that others are better than we are and that we don’t measure up.

We should believe in ourselves and not let others tear us down. We should show gratitude for what we have in our lives and try to make things better.

Recently I heard of the experience of a young high school girl who grew up in New York. She had lived a fairly sheltered life although she had some areas in which she excelled. When it came time to apply for colleges, she thought her chances of getting in to a great university were slim. She considered going to a community college where she thought the standards were not as high and she might fit in better.

She did as was suggested to her, however, and she applied for several universities. When I heard this from her friend, she had already been accepted into Columbia, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. She was still waiting to hear back from some other schools including Stanford. She was accepted into top notch universities. Luckily…
