Dolly Parton once said:

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain.”

Life is our most prominent teacher. Only we know how we navigate life every day through its ups and downs and its surprises.

But then, as writers, when we get some time to breathe, we write. When we write, we feel so present with words that we can almost taste and touch them. When we express our emotions, we feel the burden of life ease off our chest, and we can finally let go through tears and cuss words.

And then, as if shedding our skin like the snake, we are reborn, and we evolve.

Here, in this pub, whose name is Living Out Loud, why don’t we share our most profound life lessons — the ones that force us to feel intense emotions?

So, why not give you another reason to write. Why not give you a safe space to revisit your past and express your deepest lessons for us to read, learn, and grow through our stories.

Here is a list of emotions that you can relate to any event of your life and write whenever your heart feels like it.

Monday — Guilt, you tricky thing.

Tuesday — The last time I was truly happy was when?

Wednesday — When they walked away.

Thursday — Grief and how I finally let go.

Friday — When I gave love another chance.

Rules

I know, what rules? But here are a few, sorry —

  • Submit to Living Out Loud whenever you like. If Living Out Loud isn’t listed in your publication drop-down menu, email us at: livingoutloudpub@gmail.com and let us know so we can change that.
  • Mention another writer you think will have an exciting take on the prompt.
  • Before submission, please add ‘Living Out Loud’ as one of the five tags.

That’s all for now.

Happy living!
