They say that a woman can tell right away when she encounters one of her own kind. That something inside of her clicks with an unmistakable sense of knowing. Like a sixth sense. Whether it’s a memory buried deep in her soul, or that she is gifted a fleeting glimpse of something more, makes no difference. The fact is that every woman possesses an innate knowledge about her great loves — the ones destined to imprint her heart and share her intimate life. The knowledge is there inside of her. She just needs to believe and trust in her inner-voice that little bit more so that she can break through the love-crud to see him clearly.

It’s all about her intuition.

I met Mikael a while back when a girlfriend turned up at my place armed with liquid goodies and a 20-something artistic type who spent most of his time painting and writing poetry. He was broodingly attractive with lengthy jet locks that matched his mysterious vibe and attitude that screamed cliquish. As if you had to be someone “special” to hold his attention for longer than the memory-span of a goldfish.

“I like you,” he told me, “want to have lunch next week?”

“Sure.”
