Winter Weather Can Be Very Beautiful
But it can be treacherous.
Snow has brought beauty and hardship.
Some people love living where there are four distinct seasons of the year with certain weather patterns during the spring, summer, fall, and winter. They like the changes which come with the seasons. Others would rather not have the extreme winter weather and rather enjoy their lives in some parts of California, Florida, or other places which have similarly constant weather.
Snow is very welcome for ski resorts and winter sports enthusiasts. Wearing layers of clothing to keep warm and playing in the snow are enjoyable for the millions who flock to ski resorts in the winter. Children and adults both enjoy building snowmen or sledding when the snow comes to the valley floors.
Winter weather and snow can bring enjoyment to many, but it can be treacherous.
When there is a snowstorm in Utah, the news regularly will report that the police responded to hundreds of accidents caused by the weather. The canyon roads may be closed to traffic. Sometimes people may be stranded in the canyons for hours or even days. Others who live there may not be able to get home. The roads can become especially treacherous when a big snowstorm comes.
