Instantgo has just released new features specifically targeted at helping users better control their privacy during their communications. In the new version of our iPhone app (V1.23), users have now the ability to start a chat conversation with someone privately.
The new version of this app offers now the ability to decide to completely hide your name when you start in a chat with someone. This means that the receiving party won’t be able to see your identity.
This privacy feature, already available for phone calls placed through Instantgo, is now available for texts and messages within the app. This is particularly helpful when someone wants to have a confidential and private discussion with someone. Using the new privacy mode in texts, users can ask any questions they have. They can feel free to look for type of users they want to be connected with and who can offer them the help and answers they are looking for. It’s pretty useful for sensitive matters that need to remain confidential.
By the same token, other users can now contact you privately and ask any questions they have on their minds. You will always have the choice to accept or refuse those conversations. You always get paid and compensated for your time when someone reach out to you privately as you don’t know who the user is (you can’t therefore not add this user to the list of users who can reach you for free). In the same manner, if you want to start a private discussion with someone, you will have to pay the rate that user charges for its time over the phone or per message as they want have any idea of who you are.
You can easily switch your privacy settings at anytime in the app and decide to share your name and other information in other occasions. With this latest release, we are adding a layer of security and privacy to our users in their daily discussions by offering an easy and convenient privacy feature.
Users can also decide to appear or hide their personal profile from the category directory in the settings. This allows you to be searchable by others when someone looks for help or expertise in a specific professional category. Adding to your profile information such as your education and your skills can also help people find you when they search for more specific specialities.
