To successfully complete this challenge, unity is strength. I am lucky to be able to share all of this with my roommate @sarafaustini who is in the same PSSD class as me.

During the first few days, one of the biggest challenges for us was the kitchen: cooking and washing.

In a house with 3 roommates, we are used to the stove being almost constantly on for an hour during dinner time because we all need to cook, and no one has ever considered that this time might actually be too much.

So, for this challenge, Sara and I had resolved to eat almost exclusively foods that did not require cooking, testing all types of salads on the market and every type of dressing for couscous.

After a few days, however, surrendered and hungry, we felt the need to cook some good pasta. To do this, we tried using the cooking method with the stove off. Surprisingly, we liked this method a lot, and we didn’t feel a particular difference from the classic method.

Once we finished eating, washing the dishes usually is never a problem for us, we put everything in the dishwasher and we go to bed. This week, however, we tried washing everything by hand with cold water, except of course in cases where it was really necessary.

This was really tough to do.

In conclusion, the kitchen experience was not bad at all. It was fun to try new recipes and experiment with something different from the usual, especially when sharing it with a trusted friend.
