Reduce the frequency of hot showers and not always open the shower head during the shower
I used to have the habit of taking a hot bath, and I would take a hot bath every day, because I was afraid of the cold, I would turn the water on during the shower, and because I shared the apartment with others, every time the roommate used up the water, the hot water would be much less, so I would turn on the boiling water switch every day.
It was not until the class that I realized that this was a serious waste of energy, and I felt very ashamed of it, so I tried to reduce the frequency and time of taking a bath, and appealed to my roommates to change the time of taking a bath together. During this time, we made a bath schedule. One person a day at most.
In addition, we decided to heat the water only 20 minutes before the shower, which not only controlled the shower time, but also saved electricity, because if you leave the water heater on and off all day, it is very energy consuming.
It is estimated that the energy consumption of a person using the water heater every day: (the water heater power is 4.5 kilowatts, and each bath time is 50 minutes -)
Power = 4.5 kW × 0.8333 hours / 1000 = 3.75 kWh (kWh)
Now only 10 minutes a day, each bath consumes 0.75 KWH of electricity. It saves 2 KWH of electricity each time.
