How to avoid unnecessary energy use?

At the beginning of this challenge, I took a critical look at which of my daily power consumptions are unnecessary.

I noticed that in the evening I prefer to use my chain of lights or a small electric table lamp for ambient lighting.

Chain of lights: 6W = 0,006 kWh | x 2h = 0,012 kWh
Table lamp: 40W = 0,04 kWh | x 1h = 0,04 kWh

Since I can easily replace these lamps with candles, I banished them directly into my closet. Since then, I have already spent some nice evenings by candlelight and if I light at least three candles, the light is also enough for me to work on the laptop.
