The secret to success is, according to our April Hotel of the Month, success.

“At Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul we believe “success brings success’’, says Training Manager, Serkan Sefiloglu. Considering that this is the second time the team at Çırağan Palace has earned the title of Hotel of the Month in 2019, this belief certainly rings true.

During the month of April, Çırağan Palace came out tops with the highest average subjects completed per active learner with the highest average score.

So, how did they manage to do it again? Through acknowledging their learners’ success. This they do through e-mails, information boards and their internal magazine. “In our quarterly team member meetings, our training department has a separate presentation where we acknowledge the top performers and invite them on stage.”

The department heads also host regular sessions with employees, where their Lobster Ink experiences are shared and discussed while one-to-one sessions improve employees’ Lobster Ink performance.

“To play an active role in employee learning and development, it’s important to identify the learners’ skills and create personalized learning journeys for each of them. We believe that taking care of our employees should always be the core of our job. We spend time with them to create personalized learning paths. We build on their strengths, specify areas of improvement and develop it accordingly.”

By following this approach, Serkan and his team manage to enable every team member to be engaged in their learning and committed to Lobster Ink.
