An effective learning strategy means using all of the tools at your disposal. For The Westin — Jakarta, it is a combination of live and online training that keeps their associates’ skills sharp and helps overcome any language barriers. This blended approach saw their learners complete an impressive 2855 subjects with an average score of 74%, making them our Hotel of the Month for March.

Having easy access to a library of online training allows team members to take a proactive approach to their own career development. In addition to learning new skills, it also serves as a vital resource to refresh their knowledge of the basics and ensure they are applied consistently.

But providing these resources is only half the story. Motivating learners and being actively involved in their development is a requirement of effective leadership. Positive reinforcement, communicating the value of learning and challenging learners to achieve their goals are just some of the tactics used by General Manager, Arun Kumar and the management team.

Congratulations to The Westin — Jakarta and their learners for a remarkable effort. This result sets an impressive benchmark and we’re excited to see what the future holds.
