South-Indian Breakfast At Bir!

Who would have dreamt of having absolutely amazing Uttapams and Dosas in a quaint Himachali town called Bir? Well, I didn’t for sure.

Avva cafe is nestled right at the foothills of Bir, with the snow capped Dhauladhars overlooking it. This place has absolutely fantastic melt-in-your-mouth idlys, crispy thin dosas, and podi-fied uttapams. All this with the best side-kicks — coconut chutney and ginger jaggery chutney.

The cafe is run by a middle-aged Telugu couple who moved to Bir permanently to start this. Has to be one of the best breakfast spots in the small town.
