  1. Today @Sequoia announced they’re leading the Series B for @Tessian, supporting the company to build Human Layer Security alongside @Accel & @balderton — we’re delighted for the team
  2. We’ve all experienced the sinking feeling having sent an email to the wrong person. As I used @Tessian ‘s product during the early days, I had a few experiences that had me thankful I hadn’t accidentally lost or leaked data
  3. And then there’s the more headline grabbing data loss — often the result of attackers targeting and exploiting an unassuming employee
  4. At @localglobevc we have a team of 10, that’s 10 human vulnerabilities. Take an organisation like FIFA, which has hundreds of human vulnerabilities, and sits on lots of headline worthy information. Last year alone they suffered two major hacks
  5. From football to financial services, organisations need a cyber security platform for people, not just machines. That’s exactly what @Tessian is building to keep the world’s most sensitive data secure
  6. @Tessian is all about people — and not just because their product is focused on threats executable by humans
  7. We are very excited to be working with Tim, Ed, Tom and the @Tessian team. They are committed to building an organisation with a culture that encourages teamwork, warmth and openness — all characteristics that are core to the founders themselves
  8. A couple of examples: CFO Sabrina Castiglione’s commitment to supporting women in cyber security — where female representation is only 17%
  9. From entry level roles, a 50:50 gender split on the @Tessian internship program, including across the engineering and data science; to senior roles, where career switches from law, biomedicine & finance are actively encouraged
  10. There’s a real focus on empowering team members to develop, giving them responsibilities to step up. CRO Abhirukt Sapru, joined the team as their first sales hire. And the engineering team is welcoming to those who are self-taught or from other non-university backgrounds
  11. If this sounds like a team you’d like to be part of, @Tessian is hiring for several positions in London & New York
