Whether we are interning or currently on the outlook of one, there are numerous ways one can excel at work. Below are 5 ways to do so:

Daily Tracker

Having an excel sheet created with a record of what is to be done on a daily basis along with what has been and is yet to be accomplished. This would make your work easier and would have little to no confusion. Having a record keeps you in track and assists in completing daily tasks with ease.

Transparent Communication Channel

Being open and clear in communication with your peers and managers alike is essential to fit right in the organization. It must be a 2-way channel to be a successful staff. Be clear and concise with your language and explanation so as to avoid any confusion later on.

Set Your Priorities

Although multi-tasking has earned reputation, it does not necessarily have to be done. While it may seem perfect for some, it isn’t as easy as for others. Mono-tasking is just as much important as it can sometimes prove to be more effective and efficient while increasing overall productivity. Identify the most important tasks and complete them before going for the least important ones.

Avoid Distractions

Your company may have banned all social networking and entertainment sites from your office laptops and PC’s however; it does not stop us from using our phone’s data package to the fullest. Whether reading about Justin Bieber’s engagement or the new fall collection at Zara, or even say, the FIFA World Cup 2018, steer away from those distractions during the working hours.

Work Productivity = Personal Productivity

What are you doing to maintain/ increase your productivity on the personal level? Are you committing yourself to “personal” small (but attainable) goals on daily/ weekly/ monthly basis? This might come as a surprise to some of you but the truth is a compelling “personal“ to-do list is more often than not followed by a similar effective productive and “professional” to-do list. Give your inner personal and professional superpowers a second thought now! You absolutely can go that extra mile!
