With the summer vacation upon us, it is necessary to stay active.

Walk The Talk

Cardio is sure a great way to stay fit. It does not matter if you have no gym or equipment to work on. It is a good physical activity and the best method during summer as vacations do make us stay low and oversleep. 10,000 steps per day is an ideal amount of steps for good health.

Stairway to a Leaner Body

Don’t we all wish for that summer bod that celebrities show-off at the beach? Now is the time for that to happen with the least efforts: Staircase. While your calves might get sore, it is worth the effort taken. It sure is a stairway to a great health and leaner body, eventually. Do not expect for the results to show up within a week, it takes a while but is worth the wait (Tried, tested, tired, and happy)!

Mommy Works

Give your mommy a break and help her with the household chores. Go wash the car, clean the house, wash the dishes, and walk your pet (if you have one, or else just walk yourself). You stay active and clear the house of the mess you have made the previous night, so win-win for mommy and you!

Extra-Curricular Activities

Indulge yourself in a physical activity that interests you and are passionate about. No level of activity without interest will get you anywhere. It is the best way to build cohesive skills and stay fit. Dancing is another way to add to your routine. Zumba is technically the most fun of them all (tried and tested!). Physical activity is the best therapy to relieve stress and increase aerobic fitness.

A Good Night’s Sleep

As much one loves sleeping, we do find it difficult to get at least 8 hours of sleep as we end up on bed only by 3am re-watching GOT or even Friends. Well, time to sleep a wee bit earlier as it is crucial for mental and physical health. We tend to perform better and be more alert if we have a good 8–10 hours of sleep. Don’t over sleep either!

Follow the above 5 ways irrespective of your schedule. It will not only boost your body and mind, it will also give you self-confidence and make you love yourself more. Accept the way you are and work on it, no one is perfect and that is okay.
