Let’s explore what’s new with the release of the Analytics Application!

Visual Data about Liquidity & Volumes

The above chart shows the total liquidity available within the Hydra DEX. It calculates the value based on the funds made available to the liquidity pools. The more pools go live and the more liquidity is supplied, the bigger this value will become.

We expect the combined liquidity within the Hydra DEX to grow significantly once the Ethereum/Hydra Bridge goes live. This will include a strong DAI/HYDRA pool, serving as a backbone for all secondary pools. The role of DAI is especially important, as it will be the first stablecoin available to the Hydra ecosystem and therefore significantly improve the experience and opportunities for network participants.

The exchange of value as well as on-chain accounting will become much simpler and unlock new doors for third party applications.

Volumes on the DEX are expected to grow proportionally to the liquidity available, especially once arbitrage opportunities open up both between pools as well as with external blockchains.

Transaction Overview

In the screenshot below you will see the overview of trades executed for the HYDRA/GOMT pair. It shows all relevant information in a single view, including:

  • Swap direction (WHYDRA → GOMT vs. GOMT → WHYDRA)
  • Swap value
  • Token amounts the value represents
  • Swap time
  • Account that made the swap

The section also shows liquidity additions as well as removals, which you can filter for with a single click.

Token Analytics

Proceeding with the token section, we have an interface with various data points relevant to the selected token. The momentarily data is shown on the left side (liquidity, volume, transactions). In addition to this, we have a chart view on the right side displaying historic values.

You can toggle the view for different time periods (weekly, monthly and all-time) and metrics (liquidity, volume and price).

Please note that the liquidity is shown for the single side only. Or in other words, a $65,000 liquidity shown here translates into a $130,000 total pool liquidity for this token when considering the counter-side — which in this case is HYDRA.

Liquidity Pool Analytics

In contrast to the above overview, this section displays all data for a specific liquidity pool. For example, there can be various pools for a single token (GOMT/HYDRA vs. GOMT/DAI), which will have completely different metrics and behaviours. What unites these is the shared asset (GOMT) and the arbitrage opportunities arising from temporary price mismatches.

This view also shows the trading fees collected over the past 24 hours. These go directly to the liquidity providers and get collected inside the pool automatically.

API Connectivity & Third Party Applications

As part of the release, we will also be sharing a detailed API documentation, which will allow anyone to build new tools and products around the DEX.

Such tools may include:

  • Data services
  • Deeper insights into trading behaviour and on-chain movements
  • Automated arbitrage tools
  • Derivative products
  • Tokens and financial systems taking advantage of the DEX economy
  • Applications facilitating trades and enhancing capabilities (for example introducing limit orders)

In the meantime we have started the integration process with the data aggregators CoinMarketCap and Coingecko.
